What is Tesofensine:
Tesofensine is a compounded peptide prescription medication that is used to help treat obesity and promote weight loss. In studies, many patients have experienced a 4-11% body weight reduction with less GI side effects than GLP1-RA.

Originally explored for Alzheimer's disease, tesofensine unexpectedly demonstrated significant efficacy in promoting weight loss during clinical trials.

It works by blocking the reuptake of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin (neurotransmitters) in the brain. This increases the level of these neurotransmitters in the brain and causes an increase in metabolism and your body to feel less hungry.

The benefits associated with tesofensine extend beyond weight loss alone. Users may experience fat reduction, elevated energy levels, enhanced libido, improved mood, memory, concentration, better sleep quality, and even better management of blood glucose levels due to enhanced insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism.

Common side effects can include nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and insomnia, heart rate or palpitations, changes in blood pressure or pulse rate.

Less common side effects include anxiety or agitation, depression, hallucinations, mania or psychosis, and seizures. If you are on an SSRI or MAOI medication you are not a candidate for Tesofensine. As such, it is important for patients taking tesofensine to be closely monitored by their doctors while using this medication.

Tesofensine is a compounded peptide, still undergoing clinical trials and is not FDA approved.
